Meet our Member of the Month for December - Jennifer F.!

We are so excited to bring you our final Member of the Month for 2021. In this series, we feature some of the amazing people who are part of our Loyobo FIT family. We think it is important to share their stories to help inspire others and to celebrate their amazing accomplishments!

This month that member is Jennifer F., who is one our Unlimited VIP Members and such a positive force in our community!

Our entire team is so impressed with Jennifer’s dedication and consistency towards her health and wellness goals through her active participation in our fitness classes, group coaching calls, challenges and Facebook group! She has truly stepped out of her comfort zone this year and we could not be prouder of her!

How long have you been coming to Loyobo FIT and what initially inspired you to try our community?

I joined in May of this year. I was looking to add more movement into my life and I had no idea where to start.

What are your top 3 health, fitness and wellness goals?

  • Be Active

  • Listen to my Body and;

  • Practice Gratitude.

What is one of the challenges that you have faced in your health, fitness and wellness journey? What have you found most helpful in working to overcome it?

Although I always have good intentions, I am a big one to go back to my old habits quickly when I get frustrated or feel defeated. I realized quickly, through Loyobo, that I was trying to do way too much. So I am taking my journey slower this time around, and it has helped habits to stick!

What was your life like before you started at Loyobo FIT? How did you feel about your body?

I was a mess before Loyobo, I had no plan in life, and I was trying to make it through my days without panic attacks. I was not active, and I felt lost. I hated my body and felt like I would never be able to make any changes.

What has changed since you joined the Loyobo Family and became a part of our community?

I feel that I have a sense of purpose now. I have a schedule; I love checklists! I make sure I am active daily, journal, meditate and practice gratitude daily.

What is your favorite memory or achievement of your time at Loyobo FIT?

I love that I feel like I am part of something. I get very nervous and uncomfortable in social situations, but I have felt very welcomed and loved by everyone at Loyobo. I found my place here!

What advice would you give to someone just starting their health, fitness and wellness journey?

Start slow - if you try to do too much all at once, you will likely fail. Take baby steps and rejoice in any movement forward, no matter how small. Join Loyobo!

What is your favourite benefit that comes with being a Loyobo member? (e.g., fitness classes, group coaching call, member social etc.). ?

I love everything! Most of all, I love there is more than just fitness classes; there are support systems in place for everything. I try to sign up for everything I can!

How would you describe you relationship with food and how has being a part of Loyobo FIT changed it?

It is getting better, and I am learning to listen to my body more. I am working on being grateful for all my blessings and not sweat the small stuff in life that does not matter.

Thank you to the entire Loyobo family, you have made such a huge difference in my life!
