Meet Brenda – Our Member of the Month for August!

We are so excited to bring you our next edition of our Member of the Month series, where we feature some of the amazing people who are part of our Loyobo FIT family. We think it is important to share their stories to help inspire others and to celebrate their amazing accomplishments!

This month that member is Brenda M., who is one our Move Your Body Members and one of the most dedicated members of our community. Our entire team is so impressed with Brenda’s consistency when it comes to attending classes, her well-balanced work-out routine and how she’s been crushing her goals and inspiring us and other members of the community!

This month, BRENDA, we celebrate YOU! We are so grateful to know you. Thank you for being a part of our family and for sharing your story with us!


How long have you been coming to Loyobo FIT and what initially inspired you to try a class?

A couple of years. I liked the idea of a smaller friendly atmosphere.

What are your top 3 health and fitness goals?

  1. Maintain bone health and strength

  2. Have more energy to perform my day to day tasks

  3. Improve flexibility in my joints and muscle tone

What is one of the challenges that you have faced in your health/fitness journey? What have you found most helpful in working to overcome it?

Finding a variety of workouts so I don’t get bored. I like to try different classes!

What was your life like before you started at Loyobo FIT? How did you feel about your body?

I was pretty consistent with workouts before Loyobo FIT. Just wanted something different. I was frustrated with the fact I could not lose those last ten pounds.

What has changed since you joined the Loyobo Family and started coming to class regularly?

Loyobo helped me accept that it is not about how your body looks but how happy I am in my body!

What is your favorite memory or achievement of your time at Loyobo FIT?

My favorite picture of me doing Sculpt and Sweat outside. It was freezing but the sun was shining. I was so proud of myself for sticking it out!

What advice would you give to someone just starting their health and fitness journey?

Find a routine and stick with it. It will get better. Whenever you are feeling a lack of motivation or too tired to work-out, try to remember how much better you will feel afterwards! That will help you get up and get going!

What is your favorite class and why?

Sculpt and Sweat is my favorite because each class is different . I like moving around doing different exercises even a little jogging.

What is your favorite snack?

My favorite snack is yogurt and blueberries with granola on top.
