Friday happy hour—caribbean craze
June 21, 2019 6:00-7:00 PM

Led by instructor Kayla “Kween” Gerber, this class celebrates Caribbean culture and showcases the magnificence of Caribbean Carnival through movement. This class will combine soca, dancehall, and latin fusion music to help get your body moving! No dance experience required. All fitness levels are welcome.


Member social-clothing and Item swap with courtney Mccarthy
June 22, 2019 11:00 AM-12:30 PM

For our member social, we are doing a Swap Event!

What is a swap you ask? You bring any of your own unwanted items that you think another member might enjoy! Clothes, jewelry, shoes, makeup or beauty products, purses, home decor, books - anything goes!
You take home new items and get to clean out some of the old ones from your closet. The goal is to keep items out of landfill and have a great time while we do it.

Bonus - you don't have to take any of your old ones home! We handle all of your leftover items and will be donating them to the Afro-Tribal Dance group, who donates them to families in need in Africa.

There will be snacks and beverages at the event! Space is limited, so preregistration is required. :)


health Coaching drop-IN

We recognize that a huge part of feeling amazing and learning to love your body has nothing to do with food or exercise. The most important thing that you can do to be successful is shift your mindset. 

This class is a monthly coaching drop-in session that will allow participants to work through issues or struggles that they may be facing with the help of a Loyobo coach. We will discuss strategies of behaviour change, how to build healthy habits, and complete activities that can help break through barriers or limitations that are holding us back. 

This class is your opportunity to get help, support, and develop strategies to help you succeed in your health and fitness journey!


Friday Happy hour-HIIt & run
june 28, 2019 6:00-7:00 PM

Led by instructor Courtney McCarthy, we are going to hit the streets and trails with this workout! We are going to use High Intensity Interval Training principles to blend walking, jogging, and running, as well as incorporating some body weight training to build strength. We will meet at the studio at 6:00 PM.

All fitness levels are welcome and everyone will be encouraged to work at a level that feels good to them. Let’s explore our neighbourhood together, enjoy the outdoors, and sweat!


Friday Happy hour-Outdoor Meditation & Stretch
July 5, 2019 6:00-7:00 PM

Take a moment to breathe and unwind with this gentle outdoor class. Sobia will lead you through a guided meditation, breathing exercises and gentle stretch movements to re-energize the body - all underneath the trees and in the sunshine for a bonus boost of Vitamin D. Outdoor yoga mats are provided, or allow yourself to lie in the grass and connect with the Earth. This class will take place at Loyobo Fit in the backyard.


baseline Workout
July 6, 2019 9:00-10:00 AM

For this special edition of our Saturday morning 9am Body Sculpt Class, we will be doing a baseline workout!

A baseline workout is used to help track your progress. We complete certain basic and core exercises, recording the weight and number of repetitions completed in a 60 second time frame.

It is a great way to help you set goals to increase your strength and see how your works are making a difference in your body!

In addition, we have had requests to help you and provide a safe space to take progress pictures. So, we will be offering that in the studio before class from 8:30am-9:00am.

PLEASE NOTE: Preregistration is required for this class!

Class is included for members and $15 drop-in for non-members.


friday happy hour-bhangra
july 12, 2019 6:00-7:00 pm

Bhangra is an energetic fusion of music and dance combining Punjabi folk traditions with western pop music. This class will have you smiling and your feet moving! G9, our local tri-city bhangra dance group, will teach you some beginner bhangra dance moves and put them together in a few easy choreographies. No dance experience required and all fitness levels are welcome!


FRIDAY HAPPY HOUR-PILATES FOR LOWER BACK PAIN
JULY 19, 2019 6:00-7:00 pm

This Pilates class is for everyone! We will focus on exercises designed for those who suffer from lower back pain, either chronic or occasional. This class will include a series of movements and exercises with special attention given to postural alignment of the spine and pelvis. We will work on strength, mobility, and strategies to reduce pain. Katie will guide you through exercises to help to improve abdominal strength as well as provide you with a simple actions to help you in your daily life. All fitness levels are welcome, no pilates experience required!


FRIDAY HAPPY HOUR-80’S/90’S zUMBA PARTY
JULY 26, 2019 6:00-7:00 pm

Join us for a 60 minute throwback Zumba® party which includes all your favourite hits from decades past - the 80s and 90s! Have a song request? Make sure to email info@loyobofit.com at least 2 weeks in advance!
